The story of A
day’s work is about Francisco and his Abuelo
went to work one day. Francisco said his grandfather is a fine gardener but he
isn’t. They pulled the chickweed and let the weeds behinds. They have to do the
job again. They worked on the next day.
From
the story, I learnt that the author wrote “A day’s work” to teach me not to
lie. It is because Francisco made lie for earning 60 dollars and then his
family could have extra food. But it doesn’t work as they made a mistake. They
left the weeds, and took out the plant. Also, Ben known that they were not fine
gardeners and who tell a lie. Francisco’s grandfather fold him no to lie again.
And told Ben hat they could came again to fix it. Therefore, Ben said that “the
important things your grandfather knows already.” Ben said that because Francisco’s
grandfather known to be honest and humble.
