I have an old teacher who lives in New Zealand,
she told me when she was young, she taught in a school. Every year they go on a
trip to a cave. She often led the way to the students. She was amazed by the
stalactite and stalagmites. One time she fell in a sump because it was too
dark. You would think of a cave is very scary because there might be monster inside.
However, there were beauties inside; also a cave is actually a treasure because
millions of year age, the rain started to eat away the line stone.
Millions of years later the rain drilled it way through the line stone, the stalactites and stalagmites are treasure too. We mustn't break them as it will never grow back again. And it takes a hundred years for it to grow just two centimeters. My teacher also told me she found some minerals in the cave like crystals. If you are lucky enough you may find some fossils, although my teacher haven’t seen one, I saw people went into many caves which animals have lived in before, the found fascinating bones, there are many things to explore in a cave waiting for you to discover, join a caving team and be an explorer.
